My Story

John Gilcrease, a father of 6, grandfather of 3, 27-year water filtration career.

It all started back in the early 90's when John was hired as a route delivery driver by Sierra Springs, which later became DS Waters of North America through an acquisition.  Throughout the merger John received a push in the direction in obtaining a bottling license through the state of California once he received a salary deduction by DS Waters. John executed on an opportunity to own his own bottling company, which later became the largest bottled water company in Northern California in the mid 2000's. 

Hillcrest Springs Inc. once started out of a garage quickly became an empire that required a building large enough to host a bottling plant that produced over 100,000 gallons of spring water per week. The bottling plant and yard stretched over a span of a 2-acres. Hard to believe that just 4 years earlier it started with one Ford delivery van.

In the year 2012, just 10 years after Hillcrest was born DS Waters of North America offered to acquire the massive trending company that was taking over the market. Hillcrest Springs Inc. sold for an undisclosed amount which then allowed John to follow his dreams of moving his family to the Great State of Texas. Nearly 2 years into John's retirement Waterlogic USA offered John a position as a territory account executive. Just 4 short years later John expanded Waterlogic's territory by adding thousands of new accounts across the North Texas and Oklahoma region. 

January 1st, 2023, Quench, a Culligan Company acquired Waterlogic USA.  John was allowed to retain his position as a territory account executive in the North Texas/ Oklahoma area under the Quench brand.
